Overview: Using tags the right way

Tags can be used in many ways, but they are primarily intended for scheduling. They let you select which flows run together and describe the characteristics of a scheduled run. Because QA Wolf supports full concurrency by default, using tags to organize flows by feature rarely makes sense. Feature-based tagging is generally only useful when concurrency is limited and execution must be constrained.
We strongly recommend using tags to express run intent rather than application structure. Common examples include test type (e.g., sanity or smoke) and expected duration (e.g., long-running).

How to: Apply tags when automating a test

In the Flows list on the Flows tab:a. Hover over the check space next to a flow’s status icon ( or ).b. Click the icon to show the iconc. Click the icon that appears below the list.
